They can have more flare than a sword, or an axe. I thought it'd be cool to have a historically relevant exotic for some of the choices. I can, however, see how they might be a little overpowered. Very handy for a leader conjurer or invoker.

Or do they have to be done manually to make sure they're appropriate for the guys favoured reportoire?

I was also curious to know if rangers would be able to imbue their leader weapons (assuming they're a spear/staff). Seemed like a kinda neat idea, like how that one imperial guy unholy blessed his. Does unholy blessing still work on leader weapons?

Held items and instruments aren't quite as big of a deal to bards and priests as a bow would be to an archer ranger. I mean, a bard can still derive some utility from a nifty leader weapon. So can a paladin, healer, druid or shaman. I can see the case for leader instruments more than "leader held items", but even there it's not a big deal.

(It might be cool for a shield paladin to get a leader shield, though.)

Quick question about this part of the code changes. I'm still new to this cabal politics and balancing deal but what is the point of still having acute vision if won't work outside the cities? After all, afaik, there are no wilderness areas in any of the protected cities (Maybe Voralian Gardens? Though that might be Galadon Park). Only thing I can think of is so that when Outlanders raid Spire and then retreat to the Weald to recover, Justiciar and Provost can no longer track them down easily and will either have to risk deadfall traps or wait in the city for them to return.

It was never meant for them to use as a "beatdown" tool for Outlander. Justiciars are the detectives of the world, and have the ability to talk with anyone regarding a crime (including people hiding somewhere in the wilderness). This also allows them to place flags on those people.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Why, oh why would you do this when I've sworn off playing an outlander for a while?

Seriously though, ####ing awesome changes all around. I'm curious how the auto-leader weapon thing goes... Is it just that there is an edict now to provide leader weapons, or is it actually a coded thing? Perhaps it's just easier to make a leader weapon?

Is there some choice as to weapon type/damage/abilities (poison) or is it pretty standard as far as that stuff is concerned?

They are very standard, though there is a twist to them that will be seen soon enough I'm sure.

So the Battle leader poultice/discern/trophy stuff isn't automatic? Felt like it should be and was wandering if someone wanted to explain 'why not'. Especially looking at the outlander/provost beef up (wow)

Does Nexus get anything beefy for being a leader? I've not heard of any leader powers. Do they get a bonus with bonding or something?

I guess Scion leaders already got some nice beef from the more hidden bonuses to their current powers. But will there still be some kind of effort to give warrior-class scion leaders a leader weapon? (seeing as they lack much of the awesomeness of mages)

Thanks!

Yhorian.

I did make that automatic to, forgot to update. Whoops.

That is up to the Nexus powers-that-be. At the moment, they are happy with their situation.

Scion leaders get lots of bonuses to their Scion skills and the Scion Imms are happy with that. They did not make the cut for leader weapons.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
