#2692, "Monk paladin help"

First ever paladin and curious about mana costs, mana regen.

I am a monk in the mid ranks and seem to spend more time sleeping to regen mana than I have done as a conjurer in previous incarnations.

I am tempted to not try and play out the game in the mid ranks because of this and push to Hero where I hope it gets better. Any monks have experience of mana use/mana regen getting better near Hero?

Thanks,

NMF

There's a few decent +mana gear items you might look into. There's also at least one source of unlimited slow in pill form that people in game can point you to.

At hero, I kept avoid up 100% of the time (even when wielding a weapon, usually).

I rarely ever noticed a drain.

The only exception to this is if you're spamming heals or wrath in addition to avoid. But in general, if you're doing either of those two things, you're better off with a sword/shield. Use avoid when you want to play with respond and intensify.
