Well, what can I say, I'm addicted to CF, though I've done a good job of not showing up for the past week trying to decide if I wanted to continue the chirade with Verisla. As you can see, the journey has come to an abrupt end after 153 hours. I have a few thoughts and a few goodbyes to tack on at the end. My goodbyes will be limited to friends, as there were so few, and I will let my enemies say something if they truly wish to. I had a lot of fun fighting many of you, not so much fun fighting other certain ones. Most couldn't kill me alone unless I was stupid.

Thoughts: Well, Verisla was my second attempt at a new-gen Thief after Alarin ended. I obtained all the skills I really wanted, and I think it really did pay off for me. I won't give that part away though, sorry to those aspiring to be thieves and wondering how far they can go in multiple skill sets.

I think I played the empire thief very well, I had many alliances that were to my benefit and to the benefit of others. I broke a few alliances that I didn't see as beneficial as well. I was playing all ends against the middle to become Shadow Lord and lets just say, I it all set up, except my ties with Yanacek, only because I never saw him. I'll speak more to this later.

As to why I deleted. I became extremely "bored" with this character. I felt like i had nowhere to go other than hero, and that his existence was just stupid. My typical log-in was something like this toward the end. Vanquisher says Hello, I do a who empire and I'm the only one in hero range, perhaps another would be about, but most likely not. My range is full of maran, sylvans, and ragers, and I perhaps one tribunal who I have at least some small relationship with. I'd see a few of my younger shadow's log in, but aside from Yanacek, I was the eldest of all of us. I would see Isengrim once in awhile, but that was the extent of leadership I'd see at my times, which are pretty much the busiest times in America I'd think. (4-6pm, and 11pm - 2am) I would get on and see if I could find anyone to steal from, but they would all be hiding somewhere, or in groups of many. I would then go steal from the shopkeepers to get a little coin. (go 100% deft touch) I'd then perhaps gather some preps with the money I just got. If we had the codex, typically some overpowered Paladin would come raid and I could typically put a single person out on their backside, but then the true onslaught would come. I'd perhaps steal the codex, but that just depended on certain things.

Ah well, this gets too long. THe main reason I deleted was boredom, and I felt like even though I'd go against major odds with little aide, that I wasn't even being noticed. I only spoke with the shadow Imm once, and that was when he promoted me for Yanacek. I spoke to Khas once when he told my about something with an oath, and I did what he said, and the oath is doing well now. I just felt like no matter how hard I tried, nothing was going to happen ever, my one try at roleplaying for something extra was denied, and I said screw it, the game is seriously unbalanced right now, and I don't care enough about this char to keep going. War Craft III was looking much more fun, so I'm taking a break and playing some games I've bought but hardly played because of CF. I'm sure I'll be back, as I hope to have a good connection within two months.

It all comes down to this though, "I should have never deleted Haaslett."

Goodbyes:
Arkozian: You are a great healer, keep it up.

Wuntarro, Drozhurrb: We could have made a great team, but things always seemed to get screwed up, and just having played a Shaman, I felt like you two didn't know what to do. I was very pissed that time i jacked the guy and whoever I was with didn't dispel them. I think it was Wuntarro, but it could have been Zhenzar.

Zhenzar or whatever: Didn't see you enough to care much

Amadalie: Had some great times, I know we had a mutual trust and building experience.

Khalizad: Loved you, wanted you as Emperor because i knew you would get things done and be around. However, you plotted with the wrong healer.

Izuvererus: You set yourself up so well to be the guy who got stabbed in the back. Putting my information to work against you got me the Shadow Lord spot...thanks. (No offense though, just a char that was being a true Imperial)

Hauthnor, Mogalliano: My two favorite thives. One of you always being accused of stealing from everyone. Most of the times people talked to me I just laughed, because they must think I have constant view of your inventory or something. Goodness Gracious.

Msthna: Was sorry to see you go, I knew you were a good fighter, liked being alongside ya, wish you would have learned tiger claw a bit more though. *wink*

Grrhanr: We had some good fights together, you helped me a quite a bit.

Isengrim: Had a hard time figuring you out, sometimes it seemed like you were going to aide the empire, but most of the time you couldn't be counted on for anything. You ran a lot. (thats how it looked to me)

Yanacek: I think you are fine, I just never get to see you or match up with you. You are a good figher and you like to hunt, two things I really like.

Sevarecan: Quite easily the msot trusted Imperial Verisla had and the you up and immed on me. I was honestly mad about that, and then you gave me a hard time in front of everyone, another thing I couldn't believe you did after all the times we had aided one another. Oh well, just trying to be a good imm I guess.

The rest of you imperials, talk to me if you wish a response, I'd be glad to give you a few tips if you think I could give you good ones.

Others:
Dralith: Liked you, didn't care what Ocelevan thought, after the initial problem things were fine between us.

Viranea (spelling?): We had a cool agreement, but you stopped showing up.

To that ranger in the woods: Wish we could have built more of a relationship, keep kicking butt.

Later all,
Aaron aka Minyar

I'm probably one of those "Overpowered" paladins that would come raid, I know you caught me mid raid a couple times, but it was always fun to fight you, and you always had a knack for dropping my shield in one way or another. I was kinda angry when you jacked me at the inner, I thought it was complete BS, but thats the way the ball rolls and I guess its by design. As it turns out, I think the imperials could be a formidable force if they all just logged in at once. The player base for that cabal seems to be spread all to hell over many different time zones. I mean, if you stacked you, zhenzar, arkozian, yanacek, jerelt, barduk, kordenik, amadalie, and the others that are around, you guys would have been a hell of a match up for the fortress/sylvan/battle crews. I mean hell, you guys even have an arial invoker in there somewhere, these guys just never seem to log on when goodies are strong, and to be honest, a lot of the time it can be really boring from our end too. I thought you did a good job with this character, and I'm sorry you didn't have any decent backup. Hope WarCraft III treats you well, but give it a week and you'll be itching again, and knowing you from the past(your characters), it'll be another quality go from minyar. Take care, and well done. Oh, and good luck on the next.

I don't think you are completely overpowered, I do think Lariya seems to be. I remember one time I think I disarmed her and it was a leader weapon, so nobody could pick it up. I wish I had that problem *wry*. One of my little ones died from that actually trying to sacrifice it. I think honestly I could repel you most of the time, but you would come back with others. I'd always attempt to clean you guys out, just because I knew it would slow you down.

Never thought I'd live to see the day that someone called an elf two handed paladin completely overpowered. She can dish out a beating, eh? hehe.

Seconded. I still miss Haaslett.

I feel like kicking your butt for deleting so we're even.

That's what it was, and though I felt bad about it, I couldn't give you a pass just cause you were my pal. How Imperial would that be? You responded in excellent Imperial fashion so good on you.

See you in the fields when the time comes. Don't be away too long.

What can I say? You played a theif very well, though it fricking annoyed the hell out of me. It never seemed to fail no matter how many ranks I had nor what head gear I had on, I would always end up out cold. And then I would have to go and spend time gathering stuff for my backpack once again.

Had fun chasing you around, running, and what not. Good luck on future chars.

To be completely honest I never liked stealnig your bag, but I knew two things. 1. I could get potions off of you that I needed, and 2. I could slow you down and make you do other things before trying to come after me with other people. I hate stealing backpacks as well, the funny thing was, in some cases, I'd steal them, take the potions and plant them back on people. Just because a person is evil natured, doesn't mean they have to be annoying. *wry*

It looks like everytime I think things are finally starting to come around someone important deletes. I feel your frustration man. I log on and sometimes for an hour I dont see an ally let alone another imperial. And at least you have the joy of being able to hunt and look for things to steal. A healer alone is a sad thing

Anyways I am sure we will see you soon

Well... there goes one of the bigger nuisances in my life. Couldn't keep you in a fight very well and usually it ended up with you running away and I'd head west and see you sit on the Temple square in Galadon behind two or three tribbies. So I guess I'll give kudos for being a darned slippery one

Oh well, you'll be back and you know it. See you in the fields

The funny thing is, I didn't usually hide behind them. Here is what I would do. I would alert them that I'd probably be attacked in the near future, then about four of you would come into town, and attack me, get yourselves wanted...and I'd run away. Then I'd wait for you to come individually or with another up on the battlements, and I'd see about a scuffle. However, you have to agree with me, but that has to seem like a rather boring existence. If I wanted to survive, I would have to rely on being cheap because many of you would be hunting me. I didn't die all that much as Verisla, but I didn't get the final kill a lot either, hence the 53%. Anyway, I hated seeing you around only because you would foil my plans. Also, whenever we went toe to toe, you were usually hitting me for mangles, and I was hitting you for like Dismembers or less. I would typically be somewhat prepped even at that. I nkow I got lucky a couple of times getting away from you, and I hope you know that a few times Ragers saved your butt just by being on the road. That one time though that the other thief and I got you was priceless. You tripped yourself to death on that one. Good work though, you were formidable.

Yeah, that's what I get for calculating the # of rooms I have to run to get you wrong and ending up at the gates and getting wanted. But yes, I fubared myself on that one as I have done many times

Liked your character a lot. Dralith had pretty much forgiven you for trying to claim his bounty after a few logins when I realized you weren't bloodthirsty and trying to get the blademaster's gloves like everyone else. Good character and I hope you come back for another go at things. And yes, I feel your pain about odds because we seemed to share similar login times. Best of luck.

P.S. I honestly knew you three were trying to gang me in the Dagdan guild that one time, hence me getting out of dodge so fast.

What is really funny, is that I tend not to notice equipment that much. I also really don't like the Gloves enough to worry about that kind of thing. It wasn't about EQ, and it was more about maintaining a working relationship. After that though, I decided that the Galadon guild wasn't going to tell me who I could and couln't be allied with.
