Chapter 4

With no memory of a name, and with both an homage and hatred to the goblins,
she continued with being called Mama Rah, or Mahrah for short. This is how
she came to be known to the OneHearts.

Mahrah became enamored with the Mystics and their wisdom. Fires destroying
yet cleansing. The whisper of the wind turning into the ferocity of a gale.
The nourishment of water balanced by the fear of drowning as storm and
spring. The flesh and bones of Thar-Eris as the dirt and rocks. And the
Spirit.

Mah roamed the lands for many years, embracing her freedom, sharpening her
instincts of the hunt, and praying to the unnamed gods. She found ancient
rocks with mysterious visions telling stories of old. The last leading her to
the Tree of Refuge.

This was the place. Here the whispers of ancients swirled. Life, and death,
and harmony of Her cycle thrived.

It was Mojabosombo, a great brute of the cloud giants, who helped shepherd
Mahrah into the Outlanders. She had found her place, her purpose. Though the
fury of the storms whipped around her, there was refuge in the middle of its
embrace.

Chapter 3

The whip cracked her back, her spine snapped, jolting her from her tired
stupor of dulling servitude. She snarled and turned her head, narrowing her
eyes and glaring at the massive guard. A wave of anger rolled over her. She
FELT something, something for the first time, deep in her bones. Emotion? The
decades as a prisoner had long dulled anything resembling such. But now she
felt it, an uprising. Apparently so did the guard as he grunted as if
afflicted by a sharp pain, a piercing shiv.

Hot air rolled across her skin, something more than the currents of the lava
pit of the prisons chasm.

The feeling continued, warming her and making her head spin. Her anger turned
to fury. Then, then, there it was. The earth trembled a bit. Voices
whispered in her ears, they swirled about like the venting steam. An
awakening.

"Fire. Fury. Lava. Lightning. Wind. Prey. Anger. Storms."

The chamber rumbled, the ceiling falling in on itself. Magma spewed from the
floor. Fissures broke in the floor, the walls. A goblin runt fell to its
demise, "UTINI" it cried aloud.

Still the cavern clamored from the reverberations of the earth. The hot air
swirled further about her, and she felt its embrace pulling her toward the
fissure in the wall. The hissing steam seemingly spoke but not in an
unfamiliar yet knowable tongue. "Escape, child. Your prayers are answered.
Reave the night. Ever be free!"

She climbed the sharp rocks, twisting and turning, to her freedom.

Chapter 2

The soft thumping of flesh reverberated throughout the chasm. A lone goblin
stood in the corner, back to the others. As the pace and ferocity increased,
the chattering encouragement of the other goblins picked up. A bull-faced
minotaur groaned in agitation. Soon the hoard of goblins began to chant in
unison. "Nut, nut, nut, nut!" over and over in increasing repetition.
And then, punctuating the dreadful moment, there came a cacophony of riotous
celebration.

The fire giant rolled and shifted on her bed mat. Never ending, day in, day
out. This was life in the prison of Glymarach.

"MA! MA! Ayy, Mama Rah!" the little runt kicked at her. "Yer wunter
eat?!" it asked. "Eat what?" "BOFA!" it replied. She knew where
this was going. She didnt know the number of years, but she knew it long.
Decades. Her body had changed. Perhaps a century. There were no seasons in
the underground prison. No days, no nights. Only the misery of captivity.

She no longer even knew her name. The goblins had taken to calling her Mama
Rah. Who even needs a name in a place like this?

She had vague memories of being a child. A boat. A storm. Awe. A shipwreck.
Little else.

She closed her eyes and uttered some words. Some might even call it a prayer.

-Prayed for escape day and night, the more angry she prayed,
the more she felt she harnessed the destructive fury of storms

-One day prayed so hard the earth shook, lava and storms sprung
forth, and a fissure cracked in the prison for her escape
-Wandered the lands free for a time, eventually finding
guidance from some OneHearts of Thar-Eris and the rocks with
visions of a Tree
