Chapter 6

Saersha had lived for over 400 years. She had explored forgotten tombs, rediscovered ancient
temples, and passed out historic artifacts. She tried to make the best of every situation
and leave people with a smile. Early in her adventuring career, the Captain of Storms had
talked with her about fate, and fate had never let go since that day. Coincidences had
constantly led the quirky elf, and she had involved herself in many happenings, always had
her fingers in many pies, her nose in others' business. But fate had seen fit to turn her
about once more. She began seeing the a strange form, one which became clearer and clearer
the closer she felt to it. It was Arvam Raenau. As she spoke with him, her spirit burned
with passion and hungered for new thrills. She became excited with the thought of bringing
him back into the world proper. Venturing forth into unexplored lands, the familiar feeling
of exploration seemed like an old friend as she dug into yet another ancient myth. Obtaining
a mystic artifact, fate saw fit to show her a new experience. A strong yet cautious Scion
took the artifact from her and never showed her face. Saersha could not steal the object back.
Frustration took her and the formly happy go lucky elf gave into a new emotion. Frustration
and hatred. She bickered and spat at the Scion, much to Sehdara's amusement. In truth, the
object was much less important to Saersha than she had let on to her friends. The dangers
they faced served little towards the freeing of Arvam, but Saersha was still fuming. Feeling
unsatisfied with the confrontation with Sehdara, Saersha turned her anger towards another she
had past conflict with, Mikhian. Mikhian did not disappoint. The belligerent wood elf foamed at
the mouth as he argued and threatened Saersha and the Heralds. Finally, when the conversation
grew tired, Saersha returned his rightful property without any bargin, the adrenaline in her
veins being all the payment she needed.

Chapter 5

Saersha's life had been filled with adventure, intrigue, and happiness. The
problems she had encountered had all proved surmountable, though she had
been witness to the tragedy of others. With compassionate eyes and a hopeful
smile, she had done her best to ease their pain. She kept careful watch of
the events unfolding throughout Thera, convinced something big was happening.
Furthermore, she couldn't help stick her nose in these events. She helped
Mendos track down his kidnapped loved, abeit too late to save her. Still, her
intervention allowed him to sire a child with her, a beautiful half-dryad
named Alauviel. Saersha provided a jar of ritual paint to Shamise who then
provided Tolgrumm with the schematics for a golem named Vodron. She spent a
little time speaking with the reincarnation of Lady Voralia and offered her
assistance whenever needed, hoping to have some slight influence there too.
Though remaining on the fringe of each of these events, Saersha hoped to
sway the times in favor of happiness.

Spiritually, Saersha was in a great place. Becoming a priestess of Lord
Whiysdan, she even earned his mark. The quirky immortal reminded her of her
time in the halfling village, though he was much more lively then they even
at a drunken halfling festival. She continued to place her faith in his
knowledge and passion as she snooped about and poked at the unfolding events
in Thera.

Chapter 4

Saersha rode bareback through the plains in the dead of night. She felt the
long, cold, wet grass brush against her toes. Leaning forward she wrapped
her arms around a powerful equestrian neck. Tears welled in her eyes that
it wasn't the torso of Casparius. The very night she had learned of his
tragic past, huntsmen from the inferno came to reclaim him. Her heart had
been touched for the first time, now it felt as if it were only touched so
fate could rip it from her chest. As she quietly led the horse back to it's
stables near Tir Talath, as to not disturb the rancher she had "borrowed"
it from, she pulled a small bag of oats from her belt. The horse was soaked
with sweat from the intense ride, but seemed happy to have made a new friend.
She couldn't help but cry as she fed it and gently pet the powerful creature.
"Faer not, mai baeutiful baest," she said calming her soul trying emulating
his silken voice and devil may care attitude, "Ae'll see you aet tha gaets
of haell." She would continue to do this, off and on, in the days to come.
Joking back and forth with his memory in her mind brought her great relief.

Chapter 3

Saersha ran her hands through Casparius' golden hair. She was feeling ecstatic
yet conflicted. She knew others raised their eyebrows at how close the
friendship between the two was growing, and she knew that Casparius lusted for
her. She was starting to harbor feelings for him as well. His voice was like
silk, and the way he went about explaining things was coy, yet passionate.
Riding on his saddle, she closed her eyes and reached her finger tips up
touching the dewy leaves as they galloped through the forest. Such thoughts
shouldn't cloud such a glorious moment.

Chapter 2

Saersha stayed with an elven priest at first, but his insistance that she stop
smoking pipeweed with the halfling merchant at the market got on her nerves and
she ran off to live with the thieves guild at the northwest of town. Here, once
again in her hometown, Saersha has become a bright young woman, streetsmart and
lively. Because her earliest memories are as being raised by halflings, Saersha
doesn't hold the same racial grudges as most elves, though she's learned which
races to be cautious of. She is somewhat gifted at games of chance and usually
finds herself in fortune's favor by calculating the infinite chaos with sets of
13. This is by no means a sure fire thing, nor a conscious effort. In rebellion
against the peaceful life of halflings and encouraged by the dashing thieves
of Darsylon, as well as blessed by the courage of the constellation of the
Mountain, Saersha has developed a love of adventure. Traveling across Thera in
pursuit of fame and fortune has introduced the young elf to many quaint towns
and bustling cities. There are many places that she means to return to, to
further engulf herself in the different cultures of the Theran landscape. More
than anything, Saersha enjoys life freely and enthusiastically greets each day
hoping it will be as memorable as the last.

This day, Saersha is leaving to visit the academy, not yet fully confident in
her adventuring skills. As she's leaving the thieves guild, a returning thief
nearly jumps out of his skin as they bump into each other. "By the gods, I
thought I was busted," says the boy, "you look just like one of the royal
guards at the castle."

Chapter 1

On the 13th of the Month of Dark Shades, two constellations shone brightly in
the Theran sky. The courageous constellation of the Mountains and the shifting
Serpent of Chaos resting right above it. Druidic astrologers made jokes about
the Serpent sunning itself on the mountain, others said it was positioning
itself upon the anvil for Thror to hammer. It was cider o'clock at the holy
grove. A few astrologers wondered what sort of child the stable Mountain and
the raffling Serpent might create. Almost as if reacting to the 13 stars
shining above, the Burning Ring began glowing passionately in the northern
skies. It was then that Saersha was born.

Her father jokingly claimed she was a lucky child, because he had gotten
lucky with one of the Darsylon royal guards, even managing to marry her.
This did not turn out to be true for the couple. 13 weeks after she was born,
Saersha was orphaned in an attack on the elven city. As his wife bravely
defended the castle, Saersha's father took their daughter and fled the city.
He was a noble and dressed accordingly, one of the bandits saw a chance for
coin and gave chase into Blackwater swamp. The elven noble hid Saersha in the
swamp, then tried to lead his pursuer away. He succeeded, but died in the
process. Luck was on the child's side however, as a halfling found her before
the alligators did. The halfling was a young and recent bride who fell in love
with the child's blue eyes and, despite the wisdom of her husband and family
urging her to return the child to Darsylon, ended up raising the child. The elf
was named Saersha and became the newest member of the Cloverkiss family hall,
a named renown in the halfling village for producing some very fine ales and
spirits, as well as growing very potent pipeweed. Raised as a halfling, Saersha
learned to appreciate every day. As she grew older, and taller, Saersha also
grew rambunctious. She was kind of heart, but her playful nature often upset
the peaceful residents of the little village with her pranks. She was also fond
of leading the halfling children on adventures into the forest, which always
resulted with everyone getting very lost. It became clear she should live
amongst her own and tearfully her parents led her to Darsylon.
