#559, "Mini Orc Revamp!"


          

Summary of changes:

1) The orc village has a few new features that the sharp-eyed berserker can discover.

2) Orcs have 5 new mid-level skills: Bloodsteep (25), Offhand Grapple (33), Pin (31), Toughness (19), and Warshout (26). Their helpfiles describe them.

3) We've moved several old orc skills to lower levels. Several (especially Fast Healing, which they got later than any class) seemed to come into play a little late. The effected skills:
Fast Healing from 17 to 5.
Dodge from 18 to 16.
Parry from 13 to 6.
Dual Wield from 19 to 15.

4) Hide is now level 14 (from 37), but orcs can only hide in their village then. At level 25 they can start hiding in swamps at night, and at level 37 they can hide in caves.

5) Berserkers suffer less of a skill penalty while Berserking.

6) Orc wimpy is still stuck at 50% at low levels, but gradually gets slightly lower past level 12. (Not too much lower.)

Take away charge, and give a lunge attack similiar to glauruks.

Perhaps change the schematics how each weapon has affects differ
while only allowing Lunge from a hidden stance.


Much more orcish than charge. Charge is too confrontational straight foward.

Lunge would have an orc move fiercly onto his prey, with orcish suprise and cunning from caves/swamps/village.


Just seems more Orc.

Great work.
Random Xeno comments:

Make bloodsteep work on axes.

Make the Village like a Guild AND Cabal, since its the only one of each Orcs can join: No teleport into, no summon out of, NO WALKING PAST GUARDS BY NON-ORCS.

Combine offhand grapple with regular grappleweapon, and make a syntax to choose which you want to use?

Once again though I rolled up a totally different character, but when this one dies.. here comes an orc. yeaaaah!
Sooo many changes since the last one I played. I just have to see.
