Would expect the 'can't learn' code if I was really using poisonous bite (which they are immune to)... but I'm normalized and you can see that my bite is physicial. And it's vulnertable.

Normalize doesn't mean you're now a normal-damage form. It means your damage is, afterwards, being reduced and changed.

Meaning all default things using damage type still apply: learning, AC, etc.
