Seeing as how Felar have no real background, aptitude or
proclivity for necromantic practices. If we are to expand
their access to the mage classes, then I'd argue that
transmuters are the next logical step. There exists a deep
connection between the Felar and transmutation magicks after
all, for it was responsible for their creation and in some
ways transmutation magicks comprise the very essence of their
being. A Felar transmuter could almost be akin to what a
healer is to other societies -- someone who has knowledge of
and power over the very life-forces of their people.

Well, at least among the Felar who do not resent magicks. The
others would very much view that Felar transmuter as an evil
incarnate.

It's readily apparent that Felar transmuters can offer many RP
angles for the race that Felar necromancers wouldn't or
couldn't. Svirfnebli and Felar are roughly equal in their
keenness as well, so there exists a precedent for a race with
such mental stats being versed in transmutation magicks.
