#65, "Recent Event: Tribunals Raid Arkham"

The following scroll was discovered on a slain messenger, who was
on his way from Arkham to the Ruined City. It bears the personal
seal of Gishka K'ahn

My Dearest Kate,

It has been four long months since I last gazed upon your sweet chestnut eyes,
and I count every moment as my longest, so long as we remain forced a part like
this.

I fear I have little good news to share with you my love, concerning my life
here in this wretched city. I can feel fabric of our society here waning with
each passing day... being tugged upon by some unseen force of darkness.

Just last eve, our town was assaulted by those of the Tribunal Spire. Yes the
Spire of Blood! I could hardly believe it myself. Seems their foolish godling,
lost some trinket and he had them scouring the continent looking for it. Why a
god cannot just see where it would be, and get it himself, I do not understand.
It must be this blanket of dark dread which has fallen over us since we opened
the grounds under our city.

It turns out, the medallion they were searching for fell into the hands of our
trusted Badeker. Such a sweet and simple man, I know his intentions could not
have been foul. They bashed in the doors to the thieves guild and slayed him in
cold blood! They just took the medallion from his lifeless clutches. He was
only there trying to barter the medallion for a little coin to feed the poor of
our wretched city. A curse upon the Tribunal, and its dark minions Manden,
Saraiyah, Amtheia, and their drow-faced lackey Drokalyth. They can call
themselves law abiding, but they are no more than criminals in my eyes.

Oh my sweet, I do not mean to dampen your spirits with my somber stories. I do
miss you so, and long to be by your side once again.

Until then my love,

Your faithful husband Gishka
