#138, "Event: Grurk Betrays the Spire"

Khasotholas slowly hobbles from the darkness, leaning heavily on his staff.

Vandryn respectfully kneels before Khasotholas.
Vandryn says 'Lord.'

Khasotholas says 'Head to Galadon. Bring Grurk to Me.'

In Galadon

Grurk nods at you in agreement.
Grurk says 'Blade.'

Vandryn bows deeply.

Vandryn says 'You follow close behing me, Lord?'

Grurk says 'For what purpose, Blade?'

Vandryn says 'Lord Khasotholas request the presence of Lord Grurk.'

Grurk taps its cheek, obviously deep in thought.
Grurk says 'I have a matter to attend to first.'
Grurk says 'The Spire must be dealt with.'

Vandryn tells Khasotholas 'Lord Grurk deals with the Spire at this moment.'

Khasotholas tells Vandryn 'Excellent.'

Vandryn tells Khasotholas 'I shall await him and bring him the moment he is finished.'

(TRIBUNAL) The Captain of the Special Guards: Alas, my life has come to an end...

The air becomes awash in dense clouds as Grurk steps forth, casting a stern gaze.

Khasotholas slowly hobbles from the darkness, leaning heavily on his staff.

A sudden gust of wind and the beating of wings heralds the arrival of Velkurah.

Khasotholas says 'Excellent.'

Grurk wipes blood from the Captain of the Special Guards off his axe blades.

Khasotholas beckons Grurk to follow.
Khasotholas beckons for Vandryn to follow.
Grurk joins Khasotholas's group.
Vandryn joins Khasotholas's group.

Velkurah snorts dangerously.
Velkurah says 'Thou art a fool.'

Grurk says 'I think not.'

Khasotholas says to Velkurah 'Your power is weak here, Velkurah. Don't tempt Me.'

Velkurah says 'Thou thinks to challenge me?'

Grurk folds his arms, and eyes the Ki-rin lord with contempt.

Khasotholas says to Velkurah 'But this is between you and Grurk. For now.'

Lightning thunders across Galadon, as Grurk and Velkurah circle each other warily.

Grurk says to Velkurah 'Too long have I endured the yoke of your insolent children.'
Grurk says to Velkurah 'Odrirg!'
Grurk says to Velkurah 'Alarian!'

With a twisted grimace on his face, Khasotholas watches in amusement.

Grurk says to Velkurah 'Fools.'
Grurk says to Velkurah 'Each.'

Velkurah spreads his fiery wings wide and rears back, hooves flashing.
Velkurah yells 'Enough!'

Khasotholas turns his sightless gaze upon Velkurah.

Velkurah lashes out with one fiery hoof, catching Grurk squarely on the side of the head.

Grurk staggers to the ground.

Velkurah says 'You would challenge ME?'
Velkurah says 'In MY city?'

Khasotholas says to Velkurah 'Enough, Velkurah.'

Velkurah snorts.

Khasotholas says to Velkurah 'If you press on, you'll have Me to deal with.'

Grurk clutches the burned flesh on the side of his cheek.

Velkurah yells 'Be glad the Imperial scum protect you, Grurk. You are weak.'
Velkurah snorts.

Khasotholas says 'Enough. We go to our true home.'

Vandryn grins ever so slightly.

Grurk yells 'You... YOU!!!.. I AM SCARRED!'

The Imperial Throne Room
You stand in a room designed to intimidate the greatest leaders in
the Realm. Four pillars rise to a domed ceiling. Each pillar
representing a Sect of the Empire. The floor is a polished black
marble with the words of the Imperial Law inscribed in gold so
that they are forever present in the eyes of visiting dignitaries.
At the center of room stands the Imperial Throne, equidistant from
all of the pillars, showing equal support for each Sect but belonging
to none. A stairway leads back down to the fortress.

(Exits: down)
The Throne of the Emperor rests here in the center of the room.
A towering giant wreathed in blue flames stands here.
The Imperial Blademaster stands here defending the Imperial Throne.
The Imperial Warlock stands here defending the Imperial Throne.
The Imperial Assassin stands here defending the Imperial Throne.
(White Aura) The Imperial Prelate stands here defending the Imperial Throne.
(White Aura) The Imperial Inquisitor keeps a watchful eye on the Empire.
Khasotholas slowly hobbles from the darkness, leaning heavily on his staff.

(EMPIRE) Khasotholas: Citizens come to the throne room.

Grurk holds his seared flesh in obvious pain.

Khasotholas says to Vandryn 'Too long have the Blades been without a true leader in the heavens.'

Someone curtseys gracefully.

(EMPIRE) Ronar: Be there shortly

Khasotholas says 'Grurk has shown his dedication to order. Now he has shown the darkness to match it.'

Vandryn grins evilly.

Someone grins evilly.

Khasotholas turns his sightless gaze upon Grurk.

Khasotholas says 'Kneel Grurk. For I offer you the Blood Oath.'

Grurk nods in respect toward the Divine Lord.

(BLADE) Vandryn: I suggest you not keep the Lord waiting.

Grurk respectfully kneels before Khasotholas.

Khasotholas begins laying down the preparations for a blood oath by Grurk.
Khasotholas finishes the blood oath of Grurk. All that is left are the words.
Khasotholas says 'Repeat after Me. My heart, my soul, my life for the Empire.'

Grurk says 'My heart, my soul, my life for the Empire.'
The blood oath is finalized.

Someone caresses the edge of her sword and grins.

Khasotholas grins evilly.

Grurk bows lowly before the Order lord.

Khasotholas says 'Excellent.'

Khasotholas says 'Let the name of Grurk spread through the Empire, citizens.'
Khasotholas says 'Let the Blades pay homage to him.'

Someone whispers 'The Empire grows in strength day by day, your will shall be done Lord.'

Grurk rises slowly.

Vandryn respectfully kneels before Grurk.

Grurk has been inducted into the Empire.

(EMPIRE) Vandryn: Hail Lord Grurk.
(EMPIRE) Grurk: Long live the Empire!
(EMPIRE) Harbrekaun: Hail Grurk.
(EMPIRE) the Imperial Blademaster: HAIL GRURK!
(BLADE) Grurk: And those who shall wield the true power of the Empire.
(EMPIRE) Khasotholas: Welcome the one who will lead the Blades to new Glory, Citizens.
(BLADE) Vandryn: Indeed.

Someone whispers 'Welcome, Lord Grurk.'

Khasotholas says to Grurk 'You have made the right decision, Grurk.'

Grurk smirks knowingly.
Grurk says 'I know.'

Khasotholas says 'I attend to matters of My hive now.'
Khasotholas nods at Grurk.
Khasotholas slowly hobbles away.

(EMPIRE) Grurk: You would honor me, by gathering your Emperor's items of Power.

(EMPIRE) Vandryn: Come to the Palace Fedegrosso.

(EMPIRE) the Imperial Blademaster: The power of the Empire grows as Wojif joins us.

(BLADE) Vandryn: Hail War Master

(BLADE) Grurk: Excellent. My War Master.

(BLADE) Wojif: Mighty Gurk, Wojif greet

Clouds quickly take shape around the imposing form of Grurk, and suddenly he is gone.

People near you:
Wojif The Sect Hall of the Blade
Vandryn The Imperial Throne Room
Ronar The Sect Hall of the Blade
Grurk The Sect Hall of the Blade

Grurk says to Wojif 'Let it be known...'

Grurk says to Wojif 'Any Blade who even looks favorably upon any member of the Spire... shall die...'

Wojif grins evilly.

Grurk says 'Horribly.'

Wojif says with a deep rumble 'be bout time Spire brought into place'

Grurk says 'Velkurah's minions will suffer for this scar I am to bare now.'

Grurk nods at Wojif.

Wojif looks at Grurk.

Deeply blue eyes sit concave beneath a massive forehead. Bushy-thick eyebrows
appear furrowed as this giant concentrates on his surroundings. His light aqua-
colored skin is completely bare of any facial hair, and a glint is seen off his
head, as it is shaved clean as well. Tall, he stands undaunted, adorned from
head to toe in iron and leather woven armors. His visage is massive, standing
over sixteen feet tall, and nearly as wide. His form is obscured briefly by
flickering bluish flames which dance around his person like mist rising off a
mountain lake.

Along side of this massive giant's face is embedded a hooflike burn scar, obscuring
the entire left side of his head.

Grurk, a male cloud giant, is in perfect health.

Grurk is using:
<worn around neck> a primitive fur cape fashioned from the hide of a great white tiger
<worn on body> (Humming) mesh chainmail of woven iron and leather
<worn on legs> (Humming) an iron battle-skirt woven with brown leather
<worn on feet> (Glowing) radiant steel boots speckled with blue flames
<worn on hands> a pair of iron-banded spiked gauntlets
<worn on arms> (Humming) mesh sleeves of woven iron and leather
<wielded> (Humming) (Glowing) a round-bladed axe roaring with blue flames
<dual wield> a titanic single-bladed axe named 'Thundering Justice'

Wojif snarls angrily.

Grurk says 'That is my only order for now.'

Wojif says to Grurk 'blades will avenge dis wrong'

Vandryn says to Grurk 'They shall suffer, Lord.'

Clouds quickly take shape around the imposing form of Grurk, and suddenly he is gone.

Thanks to Vandryn for saving the day, and logging this!
