#6180, "idea and perhaps workable solution for the economics problem"
|
After playing numerous thieves between 1-35 as well as hero-ranged character i have noticed that the economy is not all that balanced. While in the hero-range it is easy to accumulate a great number of coins, this is quite hard and tedious while below it.
Even though it is quite easy to find decent items to barter for others, there is a major lack of hard currency, namely silver, copper and golden coins.
I have an idea that could quite balance this problem. Namely the ability to barter one object for several lesser priced ones using a percentage system. This percentage gets added for each additional item. For example, you could barter a 1 gold potion for two other potions worth 250 copper in an alchemist shop (depending on the hardcoded percentage). this percentage would go up according to the amount of items bartered for. I think this would balance the lowbie shortage of hard currency and make life easier for Outlanders and applicants of said cabal.
