Ok this might sound like the logic of a crackhead.

It seems that you all are trying to make money mean something. But with all the little caches of money and how much money you can get from certain mobs not to mention getting money from various quests..there is an infinite amount of gold. Seems like a hard beast to tame.

Have any of you thought of reversing the viewpoint of things?

Perhaps..now this might sound really odd but let me explain. How bout you figure the total worth of every char. Like lets say Valg has 20 gold coins on his person and 20 gold coins in the bank which would give him 40 gold coins total. Now do that for EVERY char and find out what the average is. If the average coin total rises to a certain level or drops to a certain level ALL prices for EVERYTHING in the game will be priced accordingly. Like if the average character worth hits a certain number the steaks in the inn will go up to 75 instead of 50 or perhaps if average character worth drops it goes down to 25.

It would probably be initial hell to go through every single sold item in the game and give them all 3 different prices but it would solve all economy problems in the future. Also maybe not have this system work on all items but most definitely potions, wands, pills, staves etc.
