#2238, "Sacrificing flavor. A Gameplay idea."

This idea is about sacrificing corpses, items, etc.

What I'd like to see is a new command that would allow a character to
select who, exactly, he/she is sacrificing these things to. The command
could be called "patron", and it might work like this:

PATRON

syntax: patron (Immortal/none)
or patron other (enter echo for approval)

"Patron (Immortal)" would allow a player to select any Immortal from the
Pantheon, and some others that are not (Talia, Zurcon, etc). Upon doing
this, the echo for that player's sacrifices is changed to suit their
patron. This command can only be done once without Immortal intervention,
and a good reason for changing it.

example: You brutally mangle the body of an elven guard in Onglaurst's
name, and are rewarded with 10 copper coins.

example: Uttering a prayer to the cycle of life and death, you claim
the body of a lesser troll in Amaranthe's name, and are
rewarded with 5 copper coins.

"Patron None" will set your sacrificing echo to the original setting.
Note that this can only be done once, and to change it an Immortal
must allow it.
(This would be used for those who fall out of graces with their patron,
most likely.)

"Patron Other" allows a player to create a sacrificing echo of their
own, which is then submitted to the Immortals for approval. This is
useful for those who have a valid roleplay reason for sacrificing
things to a different entity.

Second Part:

The above thing-a-ma-jig could be implemented pretty quickly, but what
I would like to see is empowerment classes having all, or at least
"some" of their supplications affected by this. It would add a lot of
flavor, and I think it would help the roleplaying environment of the
game. Think about it...

When that paladin notices that he is "Sacrificing the charred remains
of a svirfneblin guard to Shokai," he might say "Hmm, was that really
the right thing to do?"

Anyway, does anyone like this? Immortals? Players? Trogdor?

Bizarro I'm helping!
