#45916, "Gauging the balance while hidden"

Any way of making this not cause you to step out of the shadows?
Given the lag it causes and that it is really a RP-focused power in a lot of ways, it seems like the sort of thing that could be done while hidden so I don't have to blow my cover just to make sure the balance hasn't shifted since the last time I checked.
Or is there some edge (improved hide?) that would allow this?
