I assume you are talking about shifter forms, and their air area. This already exists to some degree. There is no "fly running out" for air forms. There is however running out of mana and/or movement which will make them go crashing to the ground somewhere below.

Doesn't seem to me to have anything at all to do with roleplay since it's game mechanics. As I said...it already exists.
