A Spiraling Ramp of Thorns
You are walking on a thick organic ramp that has grown from the
trunk of the enormous, ancient tree that looms to high above to the
north. The ramp zigzags and spirals in an organic, chaotic fashion
that makes it difficult to navigate. A thick and dangerous bramble
of thorns grows profusely at the edge of the path, making ascent
impossible save for a singular path that meanders its way across the
wood. A round knot in the wood forms a ledge here, forming the only
flat area on the ramp. To the north, the ramp continues to ascend while
a steep descent downwards the ramp meets the forest floor below.

Within the Dark Forest
The evergreens here seem to rise higher and lean over the pathway
more than they do in other parts of the Forest of Prosimy. The
overhanging tree canopy is extremely thick, allowing no light in, and
even light within the forest seems to penetrate no more than inches of
the thick, inky darkness which surrounds you. The forest here is
extremely quiet, devoid of the sounds of wildlife and birds which
permeate the majority of the wilderness. The forest seems to continue
in all directions, but you find you cannot judge it well.

A single, huge tree rises above its peers here, wreathed in a ramp
of living thorns.

away from the center of the businesses. The cobbled street is the victim
of plants pushing their way up between the individual stones which comprise
the street which is lined with small, wooden homes. The sounds of people
fill the air of the narrow street. The path leads to the north and south,
and the town hall stands to the east.

Intersection in the Village of Prosimy
The village square is a lively place, filled with those villagers
moving about their daily business. Cobblestones line the road here,
some signs of small plants and weeds pushing up between the individual
stones. Several small birds nest upon a large, wooden monument next to
the well, which seems to pay respect to the history of the town. Several
small, wooden homes surround the intersection, all constructed of conifer.
The main paths of the Village of Prosimy lead north, east, and south.
One can follow the path westward to leave the village.

Inside the General Store
Four tall, handcrafted shelves of solid wood dominate the relatively
small shop, standing more than eight feet tall, and stocked from one end
to the other with a variety of food, provisions, and general supplies that
the villagers may need. Scented candles and some poor quality parchment
can be found in one corner, while pickled beets and black leather waterskins
can be found in another part of the store. A small desk is in one back
corner, and upon it lie stacks of parchment which appear to be inventory
of the shop. You can exit to the west, or go up a small staircase.

The comfortable atmosphere of the Village of Prosimy is thoroughly
evident here. A well polished oaken bar dominates the room, and several
tables are scattered about. The smell of roast venison and spiced
potatoes is prevalent here, but not nearly so much as the overpowering
odor of the ale which flows freely. The street lies to the east, and a
larger, more open room is to the south.

In the Common Room
This large, open room is filled with a multitude of tables, most of
which are quite empty. The stench of ale fills the air here, but is
second to the reek of the men who have been sitting here for some time.
The wooden floor seems solid, and the oaken walls are adorned with some
trophies from hunting trips: the antlers of moose and deer, as well as
the preserved head of some sort of huge wolf. The bar is to the north,
and stairs lead upward.

have been polished to a high gloss by the boots which have passed upon
it, both indicators that it is of very significant age. The wooden walls
have been stained several times, and cracks in the boards indicate age as
clearly as the stairs do. An oaken rail seems sturdy enough, and guides
the climb upward to a small hallway, or downward into the common room of
the inn. A small door opens eastward into a room.

a small chest in one corner allows ample storage space for those who may be
staying in the room. The only door leads outward, to the west.
