But super-intelligence seems to be one of his powers also (at times). So perhaps he is so smart that what seems like stupidity is actually an intelligence we cannot fathom? Yea, I'm stretching, but I just don't see how Skywalker is going to even fight something moving faster than the speed of light... He may have insane force powers, but he is still human(ish).

In the Justice League Unlimited series on CTN, there is an episode with Apocalypse (back from the dead) that goes down something like:

Apoc shoots eyebeams at batman after generally beating the crap out of him for a while. Batman does his bat-robatics for a while and one of the monkey Apoc thingingy's ends up eating the eyebeams.

Apoc says to Superman, "Impressive, no one has ever evaded eye beam thingys before. He knows he can't win, but he's still trying."

Superman says, "That man will not give up so long as he has a breath in his body. Me, I've got a different problem. I live in a world of cardboard. Always holding back, never giving using my full power because someone might get hurt. But you, you can take it, can't you big guy?"

Superman then proceeds to throw some superbeatdown on the Apoc man. Basically showing that he could have ass beat him anytime he wanted to, but was worried about collateral damage.

It's a cool scene... Not quite as cool as GL sucking the power from the manhunter who tries to take the GL power (from the extra big lantern) from the GL homeworld, but still cool as ####.
