But I don't play tabletop Sesame Street... Players can intentionally or unintentionally kill/cause hell for each other all the time in the games I have played and run. Player v. Player conflict (even on the same side) makes the GM/DM's life easier as they don't have to provide 100% of the strife. I hate to say it, but if you don't like it, there are other Seaseme Street games where everone plays Patty Cake nicely and together out there.
