I had assumed Beth was played by a man, but Jonsen the character got a kick out of flirting with an older woman who wanted nothing to do with a relationship, so for this player flirting with you in character was safe. I knew I wouldn't have some internet french model trying to contact me to hook up.

As for my roleplay being shallow, I can't argue. I've tried going a few different directions with my roleplay, and from that I've gotten no positive attention and a lot of pushback, so I've fallen into a pincersvirf mentality. I don't like it, but there it is.

Beth's rp was good in that when you shared her story with me, I felt that uncomfortable feeling you get when you encountered someone mentally ill and you begin looking for a way to extricate yourself from the conversation. You reminded me of a short-lived girlfriend in college who felt that in order to be an artist, it was her duty to not only suffer, but to wallow in the suffering she had experienced throughout her life. Whenever players can connect your roleplay to something that has touched their lives, you are doing well.
