Chapter 2

Bahlue traveled and learned. He traveled to the far places in
these lands from great shadowy forests and emerald forests to
untouched forests in the south and jade forests to the farthest
east. He noted the cities in passing, lumpy dens of iniquity
with the dishonorable, greedy and immoral lived out there short
disreputable lives. Bahlue was better than that. Born to be free
with choice and freedom Bahlue went out with his understanding
of Thar-Eris and sought out a great tree in a black wood. There
found others who spoke with him about their world and the world
they sought to create. He pledged himself to their cause and left
wondering what would be next.

Weeks passed as he grew into some little strength in his quest
for weaponless fighting and defense. One day a hidden voice asked
him a question which stopped him in his tracks. An elder of the
tree had deigned to speak with him about Thar-Eris and what it
truly meant. He heard the word Ancients for the first time which
sent a thrill down his spine. He would learn of these beings if
he could. Weeks passed and once again the voice called him. He
spoke again and after questioning Bahlue invited him into this
community of freedom fighters.
Years have passed and he is now one of the Tree and a beautiful
place it is. He has defended Her as well as he is able to. He
still seeks the far places of these lands for his spirit is
strong enough for whatever falls upon him in the storms that
come amongst all life destroying the weak and dying and leaving
a refreshed land after.
