And as Aurew followed her back to the Fortress, to stand before the very
Watcher they had sworn to defend, tears finally rolled down her cheeks. They
embraced one last time, and Aurew looked on as Drissa placed her possessions
in the chest.

"All my love, Aurew."

"And mine to you, Drissa."

With nothing more to give, Aurew took Drissa's suffering onto herself one
final time.

Drissa's form seemed to flicker once more as she spoke her final
words. "It's all right, my friend. Be at peace. I will always be with you."

And then she was gone.
