Chapter 4

It clearly did not matter much though if the ill-fated youngling made it
that far. Gimped as he was, he was destined to fall quickly, serving as
feast for carnivorous plants or hideous fezards. Kaer did not think
about it though. All he cared about by that time was fire, he intended
on bringing the volcano to the valley, and started with torching the
bushes and trees, desperately trying to burn the damp marshy woods. Alas,
these plans were not destined to fulfill as well as his previous plan
on the volcano. Soon he was out of his breath, mortally tired and bruised,
lying at the bottom of dirt-filled ravine, raving of flames he is going
to bring to the lands.

This very moment, on the brink of life and death Kaer suddenly had a
vision of the flame, a miraculously chromatic flame. "Do you wish the
fires, crave for the living to be combusted and disappear in flames?",
the flame asked. Barely able to move his lips, Kaer nodded slightly,
his mind slipping into nothingness. "Here, in this warped valley,
Ancients grant you this. Burn all, but make sure that you burn cities
the most, much like that beloved village of yours". "That Kiadana scum,
I burn them all", thought Kaer, suddenly feeling his mind being unusually
clear, and his body free of the bruises and, most importantly, the
crippled limbs of his were not crippled anymore, but intact and strong,
like that of any of his kin.

"The beautiful fire, it heals. I shall turn all to flames", was his next
thought.
