Gaspare Gnazzo the Painted Swindler of Death and Hangman's Bane, Emperor of Thera

A salient, unnatural chill heralds the presence of Gaspare Gnazzo.

Description

Ghostly lights flicker like candles in the eye sockets of this regal lich.
Its horrific visage is elaborately decorated with enamel, clearly the work of
a master artist. Its bony forehead and cheekbones are intricately carved
with symmetric filigree, like what might be found adorning a crown. Along
each brow, a skeletal hand holds aloft a sword, the ends of which meet at
a central point around wine-red inset enamel diamonds on the forehead.
To either side of these are smoke-like swirls, also inset with enamel that
gently transitions from the wine red in the center to a dark gray as it vanis
at the edges of the skull. Upon the cheekbones, the motif is different: The
carving is twined like rope, knotted at the edge of each eye socket to the
wristbones of the hands on the brow. The carved ropes terminate in frays
which sprawl out, twisted, just along the hollow of the nose.

Bits of skin cover parts of its frame, old dry parchment that has begun
to crack to expose bits of white bone. A crude and scarred tattoo of comedy
and tragedy masks above the characters "G + M" is visible on his neck, but
the piece has shrunken and distorted with its canvas. A chill mist caresses h
gaunt form. It curls through the air around him and murmurs in unsettlingly g
feminine tones. From time to time, a beautiful face seems to form from the mi
only to dissolve once more into tenebrous fog with a pained cry. The skeletal
creature appears to either be oblivious to her, or to be willingly ignoring
her.
