Chapter 2

Alicade Cor'biren woke in the night screaming from the pain of his joints
twisting as he grew. If he made it to adulthood he would be a twisted broken
thing the transmuters said. They were still seeking one who would remain a
child forever for their experiments for power but none were coming forth.
Alicade decided that night he would volunteer if it worked he would still be
able to walk and move freely after a fashion if it failed death was
preferable to a prison of his own body.

Getting up and dressed he walked the silent night streets of Thar-acacia safe
in the Order of the city. Knocking on the door of the Mages seeking one for
the experiment they ushered him in unperterbed by the late hour. "What is it
you seek young one, has someone finally come for the experiment we theorize?"
"Yes I have come might we start right away before I lose my nerve" said
Alicade. It is best we put you to sleep before we begin the spell so you do
not move. The old man utters a word 'grrzz'

Alicade woke groggily feeling no different though. He looked over at the old
man "Did it work?" he said. The old man nodded his head of whispy hair.
"Aye it did we shall see if you grow into power unheard of." Alicade
snorting says "Power is neither desired nor required but we shall see all the
same." Getting up he leaves out the same door he entered in.
