Chapter 2

Cause. Treslith, an Elite Blade of Empire, administered the
bloodoath to me. I bound myself to Empire. Approximately of
the fifteenth rank, many would begin querying me of my purpose.
I would refer them to a poem archived at the Lyceum. However,
I myself shall scribe as well. I envision the future of Thera.
I envision this land to be united under one banner emblazoned
with the sacred Imperial Codex. The Codex, in which we draw
power, to spread salvation of the Bloodoath. This future is
a more peaceful resolve than the one we occupy. This future
is full of progress, much much moreso than now. And so I wage
this war against those that oppose, the Marans, the Villagers,
the Outlanders, and the betraying Scions.

I would claim my cause the most righteous for lack of hypocrisy.
Furthermore, I would claim my cause the most righteous for the
purpose would designate a much better Thera than any other of
these rebellious factions plan.

On topic of hypocrisy, I would write. Why is it the Marans not
call war upon a Village led by a duergar. Why is it this Jinroh,
leader of the ferocious barbarians draw a treaty with the Spire,
whom appoint a shapeshifter Provost. The Scions, their hypocrisy
is rampant in that they surely betray, as they did the first Empire,
any others to take them in confidence. The Outlanders, ahhh the
dwellers of the Refuge. Where they lack hypocrisy, they lack spirit
to wage this war.

On topic of the future of Thera. I once spoke to Lariya, Marshall
of the Fortress at the time. I asked her, were she successful in
vanquishing Empire, what then. To that, she had no answer. Ill
prepared perhaps, the Marans do not seek the best for Thera, they
merely seek to quench their thirsts' for blood.
