Chapter 6

Woldrun was not surprised by his father's lack of enthusiasm. At least
he hadn't proclaimed him a liar or belittled his accomplishment. For his
father, those two facts showed Woldrun even more pride than anything his
mother or siblings could do. That the only negative he could find was a
dearth of meetings with others of the pantheon was only further proof of
his pride in his son.

"I have, in fact, met others. Have spoken with Lady Iunna. Won tournament
of warriors that she hosted. Have been in same room as Lady Neltouda, and
spoken to Lord Fjarn briefly...not in same room though..." Woldrun trailed
off. He knew that would not be enough to appease his father. In truth,
nothing would. However..."I plan to find shrines of all Lords and Ladies
that I can, and speak with them if they allow. But am very busy with being
Drillmaster. And must remain faithful to Lady Yean."

His father snorted, a loud sound like ripping apart a mystical tome, sideways.
"We see." was all he said.

Woldrun began the walk out of his village with a lightness in his heart. He
hadn't imagined the visit would go that well.
