From the helpfile:

"Characters earn edge points which allow them to choose additional edges
through excelling in any of several areas of play, including RP, PK,
exploration, commerce, quest participation, cabal activities, and so on.
Quality characters of very different types will earn the right to pick a good number of edges; a character who excells in many areas of play (for example, a skilled playerkiller also recognized for their exemplary roleplay) will have the most opportunities to choose edges."


Here's something more specific. You get edgepoints for PKWins at 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, and 200. A character with beyond 200 PKWins does not gain more edge points for PKWins.

We were told that pking through the ranks gave more edge points than ranking to 51 and getting pks. Does this post have anything to do with that, or are they completely different?

This isn't about that. This is saying that at 10pkwins (no matter your level), you get edge points. Again at 25, etc. Regardless of level.

Are you suggesting there are additional edge points you get for PK as well? For example, would someone who gets 2 PKs per level up to hero have more edge points from PK than if they ranked up to 51, then knocked out 80 PKs?


Or was that a misunderstanding from before, and level has absolutely nothing to do with edge points received from PKs.

I'm saying that my post is completely separate from edge points gained on a per-level basis.

As for the specifics on Edgepoints For Number of PKs Per Level-tier, well, that's one thing I planned to post on too. So maybe I'll make that tomorrow's post. :)
