Some of those imms who have been around since the beginning mentioning a few characters that they felt had made an impact on the game. I know there have been some who immorted for obvious reasons, but couldn't make the necessary time commitment. I am just wondering who the imms, like Jullias, BoltThrower, Nepenthe, Shokai, Pico, and the other old schoolies hold in high esteem?

Fortcoeur immediately comes to mind. I asked him to IMM a couple of times and he refused. People used to go on about Krow, but I don't think he held a candle to Fort on Fort's worst day.

Gotta throw a bone to Thror. He was the second coming of Nazmorghul in terms of a psychotic addiction to RP. When you can randomly snoop someone, and they're alone and RPing with mobs and such, it's pretty compelling.

Continuing with the old school...Tetsuo and Tenfan. Tetsuo was the first really standout ninja. He killed the leader of Battle, and the skull sword passed to Breadfan. Breadfan was in turn ganged by Throc and Thrym. And who ended up in Balator...

Most of the others ended up immorting...Twist, Saher, Nighthawk

I don't know if anyone ever bothers to look at the tombstones in the graveyard, but there's a story behind each one...

Wait, did I hear that right? One of CF's top folks actually
complementing my work? ;)

Hell, I'm glad to be remembered for something I did _right_.

Same timeframe I was around. He was very fun to interact with.

Bah. Good player, still hate that character to this day.

I truly enjoyed my interactions with Genofen. He was one of the few who really did an excellent job at manipulating large numbers of people to do as he saw fit, both before and after he was Emperor.

While cabal leaders often have impact on the game there are always a few characters who really seem to embody roleplaying and player skills in a way that we really remember. Here are some that I felt really changed peoples views on things.

My top 5:

Amberlea - One of the first characters to gain respect as a bard outside of Troupe. Though the end of her carreer and the odd turns of her relationship with Istendil called her sanity into question in some of our minds, Amberlea was a dynamic personality not to be forgotten.

Neria - Any mage who manages to befriend ragers in any form has to get some recognition in my mind. Also showed that there is more to the game than just gathering power and mastering skills.

Genofen - Went out in a blaze of glory at then end of a strong carreer. Also really tried to mold the role of Emperor instead of just following in the ways set forth by Kah and Istendil.

Thror - Before immorted, his strong personality really changed the face of Battle and brought the cabal back from the brink. Of course he also really intensified Scottish Dwarf Syndrome, but I'd say it was a good trade off ;)

Llorenthos - A drow warrior who showed what it was to play with skill and style, at a time when people insisted drow warriors were laughable. Even got a river named after him.

There are a lot over the years that have made an impact, but probably the two I remember above all else.

Jaragh- someone who I really tried to emulate with my leadership style

Robilar- one of those people who epitomized what a paladin should be.

both of these are from when I was still a mortal, but for me to even start to list off people that I've watched as an imm that I thought brought a lot to the game, I know I'd miss some important folks.
