Is there more to them than what you can see on your affects?

Namely primal tenacity: is there more to it than just save vs spell/breath/paralysis or does it function somewhat like calming legacy in any way?

Same could be asked about relentlessness of the jaguar and hitroll: Does it do anything more to break defenses than simply hitroll would?
