I've noticed fewer last names recently and was wondering if there has been a change in how/why last names are given out. Or perhaps IMMs who usually do it are not on as much. Or perhaps I'm just crazy.

I haven't noticed any reduction in it.
From a brief glimpse of a small sample size, only one of a few is at a point where they're likely to get a last name given.
