Marshdweller helpfile does not list dark elf among the races that can be marshdwellers.
Explorer expertise helpfile does not list dark elf among the races that can be explorers.
The ranger helpfile on this website shows that dark elf can be marshdweller and can be explorer.
When I played a dark elf ranger I don't remember having these options?

And it's a fun combo. So is dark-elf explore/cave.
