3491, Why is it that..
Posted by Circuits Edge on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
If you do 'shi' with a class that has shieldcleave, you get something like 'Shieldbash, what's that?' There are a number of other skills that work this way, as in, the shortform being reserved for another class, one that there are alot less of than the class actually using the skill often. Not a problem or anything as I have it aliased anyway, but I'm wondering why Paladins get precedence over 'shi' instead of the axe specs and other axe users of which there are plenty more of than Paladins.
3495, My guess is an alphabetical syntax list

The syntax list isn't broken out by class, it is just one big list. The search order seems to be alphabetical e.g. Shieldbash before ShieldCleave, 'Detect Evil' before 'Detect Invis', etc.

Doesn't seem like it would be that much work to reject possible matches until one is found that the individual player actually has. That would take into account cabal powers, etc.

Actually it would be a ton of work, and not something I want to do.
