2234, Waking when slept.

I've become the victim of blackjack/knockout/damn/rot. Second time in as many deaths this has happened. As far as I know, the ONLY tactic I could have used to avoid this would have been run away and hide. Aside from running into a group of 8, there is nothing in this game this is certain death like this. You can say that there are plenty of skills 'like' this, but everything else has a counter.

Anyway, the scenario is, the thief blackjacks, then they use a knock-out skill to put me out. Total sleeping time is somewhere around 10 hours. The shaman then communes damnation to hit -con twice, then rots. This is death for anyone. The save vs spell I had did nothing, besides, being out so long gives your foe ample time to work you over. In fact, this tactic was used to wipe out my ENTIRE group. All three of us without a fight. The thief hit all the jacks, and the shaman was able to kill us. There is something wrong with this.

My solution is to make some changes to sleep skills/spells and maledicting. The first is too get rid of the 'Help! Someone is attacking me!' yells as these are just nonsense. The second change, is to make each skill/spell used on a sleeping person move them closer to waking. I suggest only giving the attackers 5-10 maledictions on the sleeping victim. This is enough to decide the fight without getting ridiculous.

At first, the victim would only slightly react to sleeping attacks and the echoes would increase.
Victim tosses slightly in his sleep.
Victim tosses and turns in his sleep.
Victim grogily pushes you away.
Victim moans slightly and moves in his sleep.
Victim starts to wake, but falls back into a deep sleep.
At this point the victim may make 'room' noise.
Victim says, "Leave me alone. Let me sleep..."
After enough of this they would wake up and yell the standard 'help' yell and the normal mayhem would ensue.

This system fixes one of the exploitable facets of sleep skills and spells. I think its fair.
