- If you bitch about it on a forum, don't do it in the game. Not you, but there's some other people who I've certainly seen in a gang often enough when it wasn't necessary.

I'm probably kicking a dead horse here, but I don't think that horse can be kicked enough in this case. If you're bitching about something folks, and then expecting someone else to change it and 'going with the flow' in the meantime...chances are it's not going to change. I'm not saying that if you refuse to gang/full loot/wear shoes/whatever that everyone else is going to stop doing it. In fact there's a good chance that a small minority of the player base will laugh at you and consider you an easy target. However, if you stick to it you might eventually find that there are a lot of people who respect you for it* and may even go on to emulate the example you've set.

I've said it before, and I know I'll end up saying it again, but in most cases sweeping changes in mortalland aren't for the imms to enforce and create....it has to come from the players. As imms we can give nudges and bonuses and cookies for doing things that we want done...but ultimately change has to come from the playerbase on most of the issues that started this thread.

* I should point out, if you're obnoxius about the change you're trying to impose. Like, you constantly chastise people on the forum who don't do what you're doing....OR you smack talk constantly. Expect the reverse to happen...and to have your ass repeatedly mowed over. If you're looking to make sweeping changes and what to do it through force of character....being an asshole isn't your best bet. Keep that in mind.
