This is a large number of small tweaks, and i'll post to Gameplay to talk more about the goals and direction.
Tuning up Armor Use: - All successful Armor Use checks (any variety) give a slightly larger effective AC bonus. - A successful Stone Armor Use check gives an even larger effective AC bonus against slashing and piercing attacks. - A successful Mystical Armor Use check gives an even larger effective AC bonus against non-physical attacks. - Extremely high levels of hitroll relative to your level have diminishing returns for purposes of breaking through armor. - The magnitude of the impact of Aim and Precise Aim in breaking through armor has been reduced at lower levels. - Sheen of Stone and Armor of Living Bone deflect physical attacks more often. - Invoker "touch" spells (Acidic Secretion, Channel Heat, Frost Fingers, and Shocking Touch) can assist in Deflecting melee attacks based on that element. (*)
Limiting Armor Use situationally: - The reduction in deflections for using armor with a level well above your own has been strengthened.
Tuning down Parry a bit: - The penalty for parrying especially heavy weapons has been increased in cases where the defender's weapon is much lighter than the attacker's weapon. - The 'natural' (unarmed) attacks of very powerful (large in size, high in level) NPCs are slightly harder to parry with lightweight weapons. - Polearms in general are harder to parry with one-handed swords, axes, and maces - Flourintine has been reduced in efficacy (2/20/15) - It is slightly harder to parry with a weapon that is significantly higher level than you.
Tuning down Shield Block a bit: - Especially heavy weapons are slightly harder to block with lightweight shields. - The 'natural' (unarmed) attacks of very powerful (large in size, high in level) NPCs are slightly harder to block with lightweight shields. (2/20/15) - It is slightly harder to block with a shield that is significantly higher level than you.
Tuning down Dodge a bit: - High Hitroll has a small negative impact on the defender's ability to Dodge.
(*): This is not terribly useful at high levels if the corresponding elemental shield is in play.
Miscellaneous - The midnight dragon is growing tired of being kicked around.
