The only thing I know about the world of guns, is from shooting shotguns and playing counter-strike. You're going to have to elaborate. A quick wikipedia search suggests they're one-shot fire arms that have terrible accuracy and nearly no range - that they're more like a close-combat bomb than a real gun.

Is that accurate? What's the culture behind making them? It looks like something out of a James Bond movie!
