I consider everyone who plays CF family.

I work for a Ford dealership.

The food I put in my mouth is bought with money I earn working for Ford.

That said:

I want my CF family to know about and to give me their feed back on:

Gentlemen:

Please re-review syncmyride.com

Your feedback was heeded.

There is now a link to a flash "demonstration" of the SYNC appliance.

_THANK YOU_

Any feedback/information anyone with an "in" to Mr. Gate's company would most appreciated ***cough, Strahd, cough****

I'm putting all the weight my name carries behind CF and Ford Motor Company.

Ford paid big dollars to Microsoft for exclusive rights to SYNC for 18 months.

Ford is in a fight with GMC for Truck sales leadership in 2007.

Ford has held Truck sales leadership for 30+ years.

Ford has initiated an incentive program for all North American dealers to retain Truck sales leadership.

I'm trying to see the goal from all the angles,

I only have two eyes, I need all my friends eyes to help me avoid being blindsided.

But Sync does seem cool if it works out. Mind you just kind of a upgrade of GM's on star (keep in mind I only seen tv commericals never looked into it). But cool none the less

If you're intrigued enough, use syncmyride.com to find your local FLM dealer.

Test SYNC out for yourself.

SYNC is groundbreaking, in the same way CF continues to be groundbreaking.
1549, Thanks for the feedback.

I'll put all the weight my name carries behind getting these issues addressed.
1548, Nice page, good videos.

Only two things:

The Tag board Dur mentioned is not noticeable before you happen to move your mouse over it. (Concentrates the view on the main "frame" though, which is also good I think)

I couldn't find an answers for the question: "How well does the recognition work in a loud environment (highway etc)" after a short search.

Sync’s voice recognition hears most sounds within the vehicle; therefore, for clear communication with Sync, only one person should speak at a time. For optimum results, close windows and the moon or sunroof to reduce traffic and wind noise.
1563, Even with the hint I couldn't find it in 5-10 minutes

That would usually be the time when I stop searching and consider writing an email to get the answer.

Here I noticed the next problem: I couldn't find an email address. :(

PS: I also had problems accessing the page via Firefox (tried two different versions), IE worked fine.

Thanks for the continued feedback.

I imagine the page is probably specifically designed to work with IE.

Come on now, SYNC is "Powered by Microsoft."

See the recent series of Nissan commercials.

GAME ON!
1566, Agreed, it's unfindable.

Perhaps Moridin could tell us the correct three clicks. :)

Is it somewhere among the FAQs?
1570, Uhm...3 clicks and type "road noise" I apologize.

-I failed to find a list of items that explains in somewhat technical fashion what the system consists of and how does it work.

-The tagboard thingy is too dark when unlit. If the point isn't that people pay no heed to it unless they happen to move the mouse cursor over it. However, I'll suggest that you'll increase it's illumination level slightly, unless the vanishing is a desired result.

-voice activated music and stuff. I suggest that you put a demo in your site with a song snippet or two and a category or two. This way, people with microphone in their computer systems could test the voice activated music and see how well it works.

-View printable Sync Quick command card is considered as spam popup by IE6.0 and the opening of it is prevented. People don't want to allow spam popups just to view one thing in your site. Same with the compatibility chart.

-Also, the site took a while's wait to load. It wasn't overly long, but enough to benefit from better optimization if it's possible. The second loading time after the site was first up wasn't a problem.
