I am "afraid" of being bitten by an animal with rabies, like a raccoon.

Am I afraid I'll die from it? no, I know to get treated for rabies. Theres a chance the wound could get infected, but I am not overly worried about that.

The "fear" comes from not wanting to go to the hospital and get treated for rabies, and also having to pay for it, and wasting a ton of time at the hospital, etc.

So when I go out to play ball with my friends and theres a rabid raccoon on the field, we arent going to play. Not out of fear of the raccoon killing us, but out of desire to avoid having to deal with the repercussions if we are bitten.
