He doesn't really deny he was quitting. He just said he did that to avoid feeding my weapon.

As an implementor, you can simply check login/logout logs for the last 3-4 months and see the pattern.

In the last three months he fed my weapon only twice. In both cases there were absolutely no intention from his side to fight me.
1) One time he got trussed by a tribunal thief who called me.
2) Other time I was hiding in the village and Ahtieli was raiding solo. He came inside, noticed me there and promptly tried to leave, but failed.

I would also add that during those three months I did lose my weapon twice, so effectively there were periods when I was running around with zero charges and 20-30 damroll.
Sometimes I would walk the roads hurt and unprepared, notice him, trying to type teleport and he is gone already.
Sometimes I thought: "Hey, it looks like he's a wimpy AP and I'm a badass rager looking for mages" :)
