39418, (CON LOSS) [TRIBUNAL] Murcadin The Outlander Bulls Eye!
Posted by Murcadin on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Well, that was a fun ride for my first time here on CF. I hope it wasn't too apparent... I guess I wasn't that memorible since my death did not come up on here! So if I did any stupid RP mistake, let me know, I want to get a better next time.

Murcadin was much like I was, just wandering about at first, in awe of the above ground world. He was pretty much just wandering about without a purpose until he one day happened to meet Noelani, a Human Warrior Member of the Tribunal. She taught him all about the Tribunal and gave him a sense of direction in his life. This also helped me learn a great deal more about the ways of CF.

IMMs:
Marmaanth: Murcadin screwed up early as a Tribunal and you busted him for it. He felt like he let you down and vowed never to do so again. More than anything, he wanted to make you never regret bringing him within the Spire. He was upset though, when he one day went to speak to you and found out your were in a sleep that could not be wakened. He so needed your guidance at that time. He knew not who else to turn to.

Alarian: Murcadin did not get to interact with you that much, and he wish that he could have more. Reading your works in the library inspired him to be honest and always be vigilant. He was also greatly affected when you left also. He felt confused and alone.

Allies:
Onirakoth: You were the Provost when Murcadin first entered the Spire. He always thought you had it in for him and he could never figure out way. He was scared to death of you and it took everything he had to ask you why you kept passing him up for promotion.

Gordath: When Oni was remove as the Provost, we were floundering for a bit. To him, it seemed like you came out of no where. Murcadin didn't really rememeber meeting you before, so he was curious about you. He thought you stepped in and did a great job, at first. When alot of the problems within the Spire started happening, he felt you should have been around more to straighten things out. But he didn't know who could have been better either.

Noelani: He loved talking to you about the Spire, but was very upset that almost as soon as he joined, you left! He never found out way and he missed you greatly.

Tolchec and Flixs: Murcadin always looked up to you two the most. He tried to watch you both in everything you did. He got his sense of the law from Flixs but he always thought he failed Tolchec in the pursuit of criminals.

Ylyssia: My Lady. Murcadin was so torn up by you. He was completely smitten with you and it confused him greatly. He did not understand how he could feel this way for a dark-elf, yet he could not deny it. He knew there was no place for him with you, but it did not change his feelings.

Macumba and Wondi: My two cousins. Wondi, you showed Murcadin (and me!) many of the areas of CF he had never seen before. He loved the duels he had with you, even though you always beat him! Macumba, Murcadin wished he could sneak around the lands undetected like you. He liked to travel with you in the hopes that he might learn how.

Other Tribs: Quite a few others went through the Spire during Murcadin's time there. Many he like, a few he did not. But he would also try and help all that he could. Most of the problem was, he did know how alot. Escpecial towards the end, there was a lot of strife within and it really bothered him. Many a time he wished he could just remove a few of them himself.

The Empire:
Murcadin respected the Empire alot for their work to try and bring order to the land. As long as they did not try and go after people in the cities, Murcadin was always willing to help, especially against the Outlanders.

Enemies:
Wow, where to start here? Everyone of you probably knew I had no idea how to pk. I know this because you killed me everytime!

Qing: Murcadin had respect for you. He hated you, but still respected you. 2 rounds and he would be looking for the door! I could never figure out a way to even touch you! But he would never stop being what he was, Dedicated to the Spire. If you came to the city, he might avoid you, but once you attacked the Spire, He came running.

Zhuisk: Murcadin hated you second to only Huegyn. That damn stun of yours got him everytime! He refused to hide from you in the guild house though! I think you more than any other are responsible for his loss of vitality.

Huegyn: If I remember correctly, you were the first person to kill Murcadin. He was so utterly confused as to way. When he first joined the Tribunal, he knew nothing of the Outlanders, you taught him realy quick. It was because of you, he wanted to possess the fetish whenever possible.

Others: They were so many other Outlanders that Murcadin fought on a regular basis, it is too much to list them all. He just did not understand your need to try and bring down the cities, it made no sense to him. He believed do what you will without and let those within do as they will.

Damn this got long, As Murcadin would say, Appologies for that! And as I said before, any rp advice is greatly appreciated.

Haha. Well done! You kicked the living crap out of my first character, an elf bard that nearly con died at level 21 to roving bands of duergar necromancers with acid blast :) It's a shame we weren't on the same side - but then again, cabal enemies have a symbiotic relationship where each one's enjoyment is somewhat dependent on how the other one plays.. so in some way, we were on the same "side."

Anyway. It was fun, you showed a lot of guts and determination - and I hope you have as much fun with the next.. only, don't make it a Tribunal ;)

Personally, I think Murcadin did an excellent job. You were getting better all the time, and the fact that this was your first just makes it all the more impressive. Dont worry too much about the pk statistics, especially the way we have been HUGELY outnumbered. The fact that you kept going at it even if you fell was more impressive. I will apologize for that absence though. I had some RL issues (I got laid off among other things) and it took me about two weeks to get myself straight.

You are one of the few guys that would actually show up when you didn't have the scales. Yeah, you died a lot of times for it, but at least you had the courage to try. You can't learn if you don't try. As far as waiting for some other people to show up before hunting you goes, you have it a little backwards, but that's okay. I could tell you were kind of new because of how often you were dying. And I am not going to jump on the newbie killing bandwagon to pad my numbers. I had to kill you when you hit the huntress of course. Good luck with your next, your attitude is great.

Now that the Death Angel rides again, I had thought about putting my pbf out there...then I remembered, I think I only had 3 PKs! Last thing I want everone to see is my 3 kills to 273 deaths! If I even had 3!

Thank you all for the words and advice, I intend to try much harder on my next. It seems that alot of people come on these forums to complain about CF, Well I want to be another one to say Thank You! I really enjoy playing and I think you are all doing a great job!

39445, Damn, was trying to help you, didn't know you were on your way out.

This character, and your attituder are exactly what we need much more of in CF. You were consistently one of the few Tribs around when Outlander was really in power with Qing/Salvrath/Mikatra and you always seemed to have a good attitude and be trying hard.

I couldn't really tell that you were new, though I think the few times I fought you with Fereksah you didn't seem to anticipate things more experienced players did.

I saw you much earlier with a Trib AP named Arech. I really hope you can keep your positive attitude with your next characters, and good luck!
39432, All in all, you did a very good job.

I could tell you were a bit new by the tactics, but your rp overall was solid. The few times I watched you, you didn't fall out of character and you tried to give back, verbally, as good as you got. The real props come from sticking it out. Con loss in the hero range is something that should make you proud. Many vets will rage delete or give up long before that happens to them. I am sure you learned many new tactics along the way and it will become more visible the longer you play. Good luck with your next.
39431, Great job. You have a heart. See you in a fields. n/t

Actually, I think DeathAngel is just fuxxored a bit at the moment. I have no reason to believe you won't show up eventually when it's fixxored.

Glad you rememebered me. I think you may have tangled with
a few of my outlanders, but at least you would actually try
to retrieve. There was a period of time, no tribunal would come
near the refuge without back up either right beside, or close behind. Then again, you usually left your corpse when you did, if you couldn't eat a pill first. Props on the courage though.

And yes, the moment I noticed you became a magistrate, and was in my pk range, you became a hot target. I hope you learned a good deal about things, and I encourage you to try other cabals also, so you can get a broader perspective on things. Good character, and good luck.

Whenever I would die at the huntress, I knew my things were pretty much toasted.

As far as remembering you, I could not forget. When I saw that you were no longer walking the lands, I was both elated and saddened. I wanted a couple more shots at you. I thought I had started to figure things out and wanted another crack at you. Found out I was wrong the hard way against Zhuisk. If you hadn't left, I probably still would have found out I was wrong from you!

You did a great job of trying your best to stick it out. I remember when Gordath and others used to show up all the time. That is rare as I'm sure you saw, but you were a rare thing as well. Someone who tried regardless of odds.

Great Job,
Dalb

Murcadin felt if the Executioner was going to lose his life to defend the scales, then he should too. You were another one though, try as I might, I could not touch you. Only time I got you was when the sultan's guards threw you in jail! That probably doesn't really count though. Live and Learn.
39419, I thought you did a great job
Posted by Zharradam on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I mean it's obvious that you are newish, but I didn't think it was your first character here. You did a fantastic job for your first time. Near hero, caballed until the end. I think my first character made it to level 10 before the troll commander con-lossed me, but damn those cruel battle axes were the biznatch!

It's good to see such enjoyment being gained from and though being put into a character. Most people lose that over the years. It's refreshing.

I think if you do a forum search for roleplaying you'll find a very good guide written by the great man himself (Nepenthe). It may help you get more responsibility within Cabals and maybe even IMMteraction.

There is nothing better than seeing someone die, brush themselves off and get back to business. Good luck with the next.
