If Thornarcrull is himself a dark elf, he may not consider himself, or any other dark elf for that matter, to be evil. OOC of course that player knows he is.

But does Throny consider himself to be evil? Probably not. He just is what he is and does what he does. Selfish, arrogant, rude, obnoxious, bloodthirsty, cocky, deceitful, and down-right mean. He was probably raised to be that way and taught from birth that if he wasn't that way he was a weakling that didn't deserve to live. So in his own mind he isn't evil. He is successful, powerful, and strong. That isn't bad roleplaying at all. In fact, it is quite good. What Thorny failed to do was one of two things, either back off of Shokai and keep your tongue intact so you can bad-mouth the marans another day, or learn to live without your tongue by roleplaying through it. As Nep said he could have done some really great things with that. But I have to say sacrificing that necklace was just plain unintelligent.
