What was meant to be a login prior to a few days off ended up being
the last login.

A quick explanation on some of my logins, I did go AFK alot and at
times also go AWOL in the middle of about to start a raid fight.
Sometimes you were talking to me and getting nothing in return. All
of that centered around "Well the little man is finally asleep I
can play for a bit." then changing to "Enter password ... Oh someone
needs more milk or needs a pat or needs panadol."

Thank you to everyone who makes this game what it is both in the
imms and players alike. Obviously without either this wacky game
I started playing in the mid 90's wouldn't have still be here.

Thamuuk for me was my Barney Stinson moment "Challenge Accepted" and
largely it was born of weeks of discussion that Dwarves are lacking
and need 23 strength. Given my stubborn nature during one of these
particular discussions its was mention that HPM was nerfed to oblivion
and that low intelligence STSF was not worth it. So it became a
"Triple Challenge Accepted". Regardless it was something I was always
curious about after playing Vramun (HMP/Fires)

Likely this had no right whatsoever to work and yet somehow it did,
the big telling factor in this was the dwarf component. I went in
not expecting much so part of my plan was to go nuts with the Deck
of Fate because well I was doomed from the start and then delete.
But as I leveled it just became more and more apparent that dwarves
can be absolute wrecking machines. Below level 30 Thamuuk was
absolutely cleaning house, and this never really seemed to slow
down. When I hit hero range I actually didnt see a need to power
to 51 and was more content sitting around 48 as it gave me all the
heroes and then some to fight. Given I had 87 pks (84 evil) with
a low gank o meter I think its fair to say dwarves are viable and
certainly compared to my overpowered duergar sword builds I have
ended up with a similar number of pks BUT with much heavier
restriction on who I could fight.

So the big question is I suppose would I play dwarf again? Yes
Would I do the same build? No
- Whip hand HPM is immensely versitile I really felt like I had an
. answer for everything. So I would consider it
- Low int STSF was not great in 700+ hours and ALOT of fighting it
. fully charged twice. Once against an Orc wearing -'ve int gear,
. once against a frost giant wearing -'ve int gear. But you have
. alot of fight where you get nothing Hoisshyr was a great example
. of this where 60+ rounds across multiple fights I did not get one
. charge.
- Either way tho I have some way better dwarf ideas locked away so
. I will certainly play another one at some point.

Being named Captain when I was was an incredibly trying time for
Fort, we were in the dumps and needed quite a big rebuild, and this
did make inductions and managing applicants a challenge so thanks
all for your patience, understanding and willingness to work through
this. Azorinne thanks for entrusting me with this, I think I did a
good job.

Immortals:
Azorinne thank you for everything, and accepting my immense
informality in my approach to some things. I don't know what it was
but when we first spoke it all felt a little James Bond. There I was
all dishelved and bloody and beaten up, but I was about to have tea
with the Queen and "Ma'am" just seemed appropriate.

Baerinika its great to see you back, it was definitely an additional
boost in morale, I do feel like I was the first one to find you,
good ole dwarf inherant for the win!

Destuvius thanks for the third legacy I think "Enigma - a person
or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand." was the
perfect choice for a rather peculiar dwarf.

Deck Of Fate ... From My PBF
"An objectively bad build on paper with success, longevity, and RP
and even didnt delete from Deck of Fate nonsense?"

I have always had a curiosity so my objective here was to draw a
stupid amount of cards from the deck ... Mission accomplished.

I will clarify this likely I think I would have had an extra 100ish
hp if it wasn't for the Deck of Fate it cost me alot. But that is
the result if you pick some 50+ cards from the deck (I lost count
on what the actual number was but it was alot at some stage I will
check logs and see).

Players:
There are so so many that made an impact and made the game enjoyable
friend or foe. I will concede that I am bowing out a bit because I
really don't want to miss anyone. The game wouldn't be what it is
without its players so throw yourself in head first keep mixing it
up, those high risk victories and even failures is what makes CF
thrive.

In ways this character is a bit of a swan song and with the little
man now walking life moves on. So while I will be back on the
fringes I wont be taking onboard any serious leadership positions.

You're a hoot! I was delighted to have Thamuuk around, and I thought the effort you put in was awesome. Well done on being such a solid, long-lived leader!

Um, Fort was hardly in the dump. We had 2 Invokers (3 if you count Aehwic), 3 Maran Paladins (Maog, Grutlin, and me), a couple of low login shamans, one Ranger (Ash), and a shifter (Zipwherl). Then we had you and your notes to all of us keeping track of our enemies. No, you came in as Captain like Maog came into Marshall into a fairly strong fort. The only weakness we had were no Acolytes and towards then end of my character, there were a couple of Scribes.

I don't mean to rain on your statement though, as I thought Thamuuk was solid and good to have around. So with that, Good Luck with your Next.

My apologies I was hasty due to limited time.

I will be more specific in that Fort had no Scribes or Acolytes and as such that side of things was given priority as such and the inductions of Squires was limited for a time. So there were a lot of applicants that I held back. So yes I don’t discount that the cabal had a lot of fire power but that doesn’t mean as a whole the cabal and certainly in the case of Fort is operating as it should.

Edited to add … well that was an anonymous screw up

141911, I'm breaking one of my rules.

I decided not to reply to any death threads while still active. But this is too important.

First of all: WOW! Age-dieing a Fortress Warrior is difficult. Well done.

Second, I thought I was being so unique in choosing an Enigma build. Only to get to hero and realize you had already chosen a similar build. And to be able to do it so much better than me was a bit frustrating. ;)

Still, watching you do things I was struggling to do always made me sit in awe. I would be struggling to retrieve our Orb, and you log on and do it in seconds. I'm trying to raid Empire, you log on and knock it out easy-peezy. It was pretty amazing to watch, so don't think you didn't make a huge impact on those around you.

I also liked your leadership style. Writing notes and staying on top of things that way. I thought you did an amazing job and you should be damn proud of this one. Hope to see you back soon.

You seemed like a top-notch Captain with good leadership, well done lasting all the way! Interesting build too.
