The Undisturbed Depths:

Darkness, an unending pitch that's uncommon amongst all the surface realms.
No depth of woods, dank alley or misty field can ever compare to the absolute
absence of light that's felt in and among the most depriving caverns.

The occasional echo of dripping water, splash of albino aquatic life, or soft
trailing sounds of distant trodding feet passing by are among the only
sensations within these depths. Places that so very few, if any mortal has
tread before or ever will, the virgin depths.

Opening the eyes, that only the svirfnebli possess, in a place like this is
majestic in and of itself. Being able to glimpse the undisturbed is its own
reward and somewhat like a religious experience that leaves the experiencer in
awe of the natural forces that formed it.
