The start of the web of influence

Too long Araristara has watched the Empire flounder while she gains in power.
Some rise quickly in the ranks and then flame out never to be seen again. A
few she started to groom for positions of power, yet when she asked them if
they sought such, they would be coy and claim if it was destined then it
would be. There were none which were hungry, which knew the power was theirs
or should be there. Meek and weak willed, and their corpses proved such.

So as Araristara watched Daerys start to grow and gain in power, she decided
to push this one instead of allowing them to wallow in hubris and mediocrity.
Araristara brought up the subject of the Dread Lord with Daerys, and like all
others they were coy and claimed hubris. That if it was the will of others,
then they would accept the position. Not accepting such an answer, Araristara
began to push at Daerys and get them to shed such modesty. For one must rise
up and TAKE power, not be given it. Daerys soon began to change their views
and acknowledged that if not them, who else could take this position? Would
they allow another who was inferior to take it? No! Araristara as well
promised them guidance and council in the times to come should they need or
want it. To help them manipulate those of the council to guarantee their
power within the Empire.

And Araristaras first move was to gain the support of the Shadow Lord Vrolah
as they were the only true presence within the council. Upon speaking with
them, Araristara was able to gain their opinion of Daerys and slowly push
them into accepting their bid. It was made known to the Shadow Lord that
having one in their pocket would benefit not only the Empire but their own
position. More so, Araristara promised the same to Vrolah that she would be
loyal to them and give them guidance in any way possible. To always stand
with them against any other of the council, or at least that is what they
think.
