The Spire, Meeting Azorinne, and The Light in the Spire

It was my honor that my application to be a Magistrate was welcome
to the Provincial and Provost Magistrates. It seemed there were
some others of the Light that had recently joined the Spire and
it was good that it was beginning to grow stronger in proetection
of the cities. Yet, even with that, I was still concerned.

This concern only became clearer as I met the Lady Azorinne. She
spoke to me and a paladin who also followed her teachings and I
began to realize how much my path would be difficult. Even with
this, the Lady was prepared to let me try if we were able to deal
with what would happen walking this path. She suggested that I
spend some time speaking to those like Bazz and hear the stories
of the problems between the Fortress and the Spire. What I could
not have guessed is how prophetic these conversations would be.

Bazz told me about the past with Sylvus and Ilise. Unfortunately,
the story of Ilise was quite bad when listening to it with Ilise
being struck and having to strike out against the Fortress even
though both parties were of the Light. Because of this, it has
influenced the vow I will make to Lady Azorinne. I determined that
my vow would be that I will always put the Light first, I will never
raise my weapon against one of the Light, and that I will try to
help guide to good decisions that protect all of the Light.

Bazz also suggested that perhaps I write a missive to the Fortress
introducing myself and trying to get ahead of any possible concerns
that the past could repeat itself. I have found that I will need
to do this quickly to try to avoid possible confrontations as the
dwarf of the Fortress, Bynna, has sent a missive to the Spire with
threats involved against those of the Spire who defended the Empire.
The problem, though, is that all aggression towards the Spire could
hurt the Light, especially Woreich and myself.
