Chapter 13

Eternal Night and Undeath
Added Sat Dec 23 01:47:46 2023 at level 47:

Ssorc, a being from nowhere and forged in divine Pride, has achieved her goal. She has
been 'chosen', out of the countless others who would slit their eyeballs for a whisper
of the secrets Ssorc now studies and observes.

She is outlandishly happy, fulfilled, and enjoying herself in a way that simply Has to
be described as utter indulgence. As he traveled this great land, facing and observing
the powers, magics, puzzels, grand designs, Ssorc came to understand that his guildmasters
and most learned scholars simply would not and could not match or teach the kind of power
and intricacies she beheld each venture into the unknown.

The hunger for more and more led her where she would need to be. Futhermore, this part of
Ssorc's journey is hugely important because he plans to study the prophecies of the Scion,
such as the lore regarding the ancient trees that many have forgotten. Ssorc plans
to follow prophecy and dark omen to their source and find answers.

Ssorc, in truth, feels a draw into the forest. Not as an Outlander or Sylvan. Something...
Horrible. Like a calm evening sunset over a battlefield of deadmen. She is wild, and has
strong pull with natural spirits through her Pumpkin man and Ogre. Both from deep places
rooted in natural energy. But like the Pumpkin Man, there is more than meets the eye. Ssorc
plans to explore, experiment, and uncover just how deeply he can influence natural energy.
Perhaps, in controlling or corrupting this natural power, Ssorc can find the answers he
seeks.

As for Ssorc own thoughts on an everlasting darkness... In truth, she just doesn't care.
He's not an ancient super-evil, but he's far far past being afraid of horrors or pain. To
Ssorc, and this is due to her rebirth under Morius, there is nothing to be sad about. Or
to fear. Or to worry about. In Ssorc's eyes, this life is to be enjoyed and Experienced
to the absolute fullest. Eternal Night just offers Ssorc more opportunities! She doesn't
like daylight so much. May as well watch the sun go black. She'll have a good laugh about
it.

Ssorc, in part due to much I've explained, is ready to face undeath. The chaos and unkept
dirtyness of the Wight speaks to him. He may take a leap, sooner than later. She pictures
herself wandering the witch's woods with his Pumpkin Man. Or dwelling in the lands to the
far east. Lands filled with lovely places to shamble and howl!

In the meantime, Ssorc will resume his studies. Learning and embracing the magic lended
through the Scepter. Study and experimentation are key.
