Chapter 1

Awakening

I awoke floating in a swampy land. It was very foreign. My arms felt light,
as if in a totally different atmosphere, yet my body was heavy - I could not
float - my legs were bound to the ground. Where was I? What happened? I did
not know. My body felt pain. Battered, it felt. I wiped my hand across my
face. On my hands were blood. Mine, I suppose. Ouch. I lumbered further into
these strange lands. Gah. What is this air. Smoky. Thick. I did not feel
well. As I saw some structure, similar to a coral cave, I crumbled from
exhaustion, into unconsciousness again.
