There was one client during this time who was especially memorable. He
was a magistrate, but that wasn't what made him memorable. No, this man
was memorable because of his kink. She quickly learned he was a shape
shifter when he magically altered himself before taking her. Much to
her chagrin she became his "favorite", and, over his many visits, could
not help but memorize the words to some of the spells he cast.
Sometimes he would assume the full form of a beast while other times it
was only a partial shift. Suffice it to say the horns of a bull aren't
the only part of that creature's anatomy this man was able to emulate.

Then, one day, when the thought of once more submitting to his touch
finally outweighed the prospect of withdrawal she felt rapidly
approaching, Ydane spat out some of those dimly remembered words and
watched in surprise as her hands transformed into those of a great cat.
The shape shifer was as shocked as she was. He paused dumbly, pants
around his ankles, for a full three seconds before registering what she
had done, at which point Ydane raked her newfound claws across his fat
neck and ended his life.

She stood there in stunned silence for a moment while the man's
life-blood pumped out onto the floor of the room. The enormity of what
she'd done was beginning to dawn on her along with the realization of
what the consequences would be. Grady would call the Magistrates, they
would come and see what she had done, the they would summarily execute
her. For an instant it occurred to her that that fate might actually be
preferable to what she would experience if she didn't get her next fix,
but something rose up inside her and she banished the thought as quickly
as it had come. The only option was escape. Still desensitized from
the substance with which she'd been dosed, Ydane plunged through the
window and hit the street running, desperate to get as far away from
the city as she could.
