A New Book continued

Recently I heard from one of the duergar in Yzekon talking about
about the Lantern. They quickly stopped when they saw me
and attacked. This hint follows another recently as well, from
Mortorn, in the dark below I found a piece of parchment with
the Lantern picture as Calen described it to me all those many years
ago when I was a slave in Teth Azelath.
I am starting to once again believe in the Lantern. This may be
what Ezaress feared, perhaps they knew I would one day find it
and so it actually exists.

Calen seemed to think that this Lantern, if it does exist, when lit
will shine a light that if reaches the eyes of Drow, will flood them
with memories of their forgotten ancestry, the elves. He eluded
that such potent memories may cause them to pursue redemption,
or go insane or perhaps be destroyed. Calen speculated that the
mithril in the Lantern was once part of the weapon held by the first
elf to become drow. This seems highly far-fetched to me.
If I am killed, never to return, I write this down now so maybe
another elf can be told about the story of the Mithril Lantern and
perhaps continue the quest.
