The gift.

Mighty Lord Gaspare sent Gren on quest to stave off death for a time. Is
temporary measure, but Gren will not waste. Gren was sent to rewalk Lord
Gaspare's steps from when gathered things to become great lich in distant
past. Was journey of great triumph and defeat, and Gren were inspired to
write about it. Is different to what Gren usually write about, but words
need be written so Gren write them.
Gren call this the path.

A task to grant our body strength
To walk a path long cold;
To seek and find reagents four,
Two times two clues so told.

Through desert hot and ruins dark
To candlewoods looming tall;
To take a hand from bones picked clean,
This place not where we fall.

So to forest in barren north
Where wolves do hunt and prowl;
A giant elk, so fleet of foot
The stone within most foul.

Triumph, it grows, the trail grows hot
The throne of snakes to find;
Yet doom awaits in shattered halls,
The teeth that gnaw and grind.

Defeat draws near, the key so lost
Beyond our grasping hands;
Yet one last hope avails us yet,
So on to ordered lands.

The council three, and one besides
But one of mortal flesh;
A lich of bone and magic black,
Four strong our army fresh.

So words did end, the battle brought
Fury of combat fanned;
Triumph crimson and pulsing blood,
A heart beating in hand.

So three of four were ours to show
Victory some would claim;
Yet all we think in sleepless nights,
A throne in halls profane.

Now Gren has to worry about what mistake Dreadlord is making that Lord
Gaspare mention. Could be so many things. Vote? Lich undertaking? Scheme
Gren nuh know of? Trusting wrong person? nuh trusting right person... must
try find out. Then there the matter of Sel. Gren still too angry at what
Sel said to make good decision. Gren think this what getting old means,
Gren would've smashed right outside Collegio door and thrown body in
harbour century ago!
